What a funky European style bar.Simple yet full of character. It is exactly what I would expect a Spanish bar in Barcelona to look and feel like. The life in this interior has been introduced with the use of  encaustic geometric style tiles on the bar floor. They are so stylish and so European. With just a few different coloured stools and an eye catching floor, this space needs nothing else. I am sure the tapas ,tortilla and sangria taste as good as the interior looks.

Another example of cuban tiles creating a dramatic entry, this time in a home in Coconut Grove. The yellows, greens and reds working beautifully together to create a warm and enticing entrance.I am really liking the simplicity of the space and the contrast with the cuban tiles-it is so well balanced.I would love to see more images of this home as I am sure it is all as tasteful as its entrance.

I just came across this great image of how a multitude of patterns on a huge wall can work so effectively together.Despite being busy,it is incredibly interesting and unforgettable. It is like a huge wallhanging woven from different tribes on the one wall. The colours and designs of all these encaustic tiles just work so well.I wish I had a wall this big to create this look-maybe a splashback will have to do…

The splashback in this gorgeous kitchen has recently been tiled using the black with white circle tile from my repoduction range.Black and white is always so dramatic and has definitely added some spice to the modern Australian kitchen pictured below.Sometimes all it takes is a small strip of pattern to bring a new dimension into a space. The splashback now has a personality of its own!

I have new old tiles and they are gorgeous. All the way from Europe, salvaged perfectly from old buildings and full of history.I am particularly fascinated with this cubic design as with this one design there are actually 3 designs that can be created….I can see this tile in a cafe or a bar or in the entrance to a grand home-classic or modern. It is so versatile and stately and has such a European flavour.I just love it.
