I just received these two lovely images of an amazing fountain covered in reproduction tiles that has just been completed.I love the combination of colours and designs they bravely put together. The wood, marble and tiles work beautifully creating a structure that looks aged, exotic and stunning.I think it so wonderful when you have a vision, as my clients did,and then see it come to fruition is so rewarding and satisfying.Once again,I love the effect of having differing designs and colours in the one space, and as you can see here-it works.

I just received this amazing new antique tile.It has been salvaged from an 1848 home in Northern Spain.I have called it rustic manor as I can imagine it would have been the floor of an amazing manor tucked away in the hills down a long grand driveway.I love the rustic texture and the combination of colours ,not to mention the gorgeous subtle design. These would have to be the oldest tiles to have arrived on my doorstep and they feel truly precious .Despite the imperfections and small cracks they are in great condition  considering their age and have a lot of life still left in them.I see these tiles in a gorgeous European style courtyard or a quaint verandah or as a rustic bathroom floor. They would make any area feel grand and fill it with atmosphere and history.

As much as I love walking into a sparkling hotel bathroom for me there is no comparison when it comes to a bathroom with loads of character and style that you will just not forget.I love a rustic bathroom with antique tiled floors an old basin with exposed plumbing and a simple shelf. This is an example of a bathroom I found in a book on Havana Interiors.Despite its rustic nature there is such an elegance that has come from age.The stunning antique floor tiles are typically Cuban and follow through to the main areas in the house. Its uniqueness is what I try to create .
