Jamie's Italian recently opened its doors in Pitt St, Sydney .The look, ambient and rustic. The tones, muted and warm. the restaurant seats approx 200 and offers a blend of quality Italian food, great service and good value. I was thrilled when I was contacted to put together a selection of antique tiles for the bar front for Jamie's restaurant. The montage of antique tiles instantly creates that old world feel that is so full of character and so European. Next time you are downtown Pitt St, pop in for a meal and enjoy the ambience.

I have a lovely new design that has recently arrived . I think this would be the perfect tile to freshen up a bathroom wall, glorify a table top or to use as the facade of a counter in a mediterranean style restaurant. It reminds me of my days travelling around the Greek Islands and the gorgeous white washed buildings  with the classic blue doors and windows that always bring a smile to my face. Whichever way this encaustic tile is used it will bring a lightness and a joy to the space.

Thank you so much to Country Style for featuring 2 of my encaustic tile designs in their November issue. Blue Spanish Villa and white Moorish Night  are 2 designs that work beautifully in older style country homes .Both these designs are available in other colour ways or can be created in a colour of your choice. They could even be used together in the same space for something a little different. There are some lovely homes featured in the November Issue, and lots of inspiring ideas for those renovators or refurbishers.Thank you country style.

I have just received these images of two newly refurbished kitchens that have made the focal point their encaustic tiled splashbacks. The first kitchen was designed by MG Projects and Design who cover interior design, renovation consulting, product sourcing and project management. They chose the Blue Clover design for this kitchen which looks stunning and elegant. The second image shows the Moroccan Bazaar in another stunning and elegant splashback. I love the simple line of these two kitchens and the use of the encaustic tiles to catch your eye and create a point of interest.
