Quiksilver Montage

The new Quiksilver outlet opened last week in Byron Bay and it looks so good! The designer has created a patchwork effect on the floor using 2 designs and some plain tiles in-between. The overlook look is soft yet interesting and being opposite Byron Bay's main beach the blues and the greys are the perfect choice.The shop also has wooden floors that meet the tiles which always works so well and gives a distinction to different areas of the room. I think the effect has worked really nicely and it is another example of  the different ways in which encaustic tiles can be laid. The Moroccan Flower design and the Blue and white circle compliment each other and the clothes on the racks! Next time you are in Byron Bay make sure you go in to have a look...

Hidden Treasure

Amanda from Peace by Piece Gallery has just completed the refurbishment of her rustic but oh so glamourous shed which looks absolutely fabulous. It is oozing with character and charm and just makes you want to drop everything and spend the weekend in this little hideaway tucked up in the hinterland of Byron Bay. The bathroom with its antique pressed metal walls and ceiling compliment the grey and white tiles so well. Amanda knew exactly the look she wanted to create and it worked perfectly.
