Hot spots in Melbourne

Melbourne is such a happening city with an abundant choice of eateries in each and every suburb. I was thrilled to have a few days to discover the new hot spots in Melbourne, some of which have used my range of encaustic tiles as a feature in their design.I visited South Melbourne and had a coffee at Cottle on Coventry which is a fabulous cafe where they roast  their own coffee on site.They chose the red/white check cement tiles as their feature tile which gives a very European feel to the establishment. I also visited Monsieur Truffes chocolate factory/cafe where they have used the encaustic tiles as a feature wall behind their counter.The tiles work so nicely in this warehouse style design with the other walls a light brick and with the beautiful exposed beams.Horn Please is a new Indian restaurant that just opened in Fitzroy. It was totally packed the evening we visited  and full of life.I  loved their choice of  the Moroccan Bazaar  tile they used on the counter.
