This gallery shows what some of our tiles look like in larger formations. Once the tiles have been laid and grouted on a completely level surface you may want to give them a good wash with a neutral soap that contains no bleach just to remove any dirt from the grouting and any surface wax from production. If necessary you can lightly sand the tiles with wet and dry sand paper, this also removes dirt and any surface smudging of colours from production which occasionally may happen being hand made tiles.Once the tiles are completely dry they will need to be sealed with a Stainproof sealer or any penetrating sealer to stop them from marking. There may be slight variation in the tiles as is the nature of hand made products. This only adds to the character. Some antique tiles may have the original grout or cement remnants on the back.
