Description
This design is from our new limited-edition encaustic tile collection—created in collaboration with Indigenous artist and designer, Melissa Greenwood from Miimi & Jiinda.
The design creates a circle with the four tiles placed together which represents a traditional meeting place. Symbolising community (men and women), family, coming together to share stories, dance, culture, songs, ceremony.
In the words of the artist herself, Melissa Greenwood says, “It’s another way of sharing the artwork, the story, the connection. Tiles have an ancient grounding energy”.
These tiles are handcrafted by artisans using traditional methods practiced for well over 100 years.

A Note on our Unique, Handmade Tiles
Our tiles are handmade and kiln-fired in small batches. This means natural variations in colour, glaze, texture and size will occur. These differences are part of the beauty of handcrafted tiles and make every installation unique. By purchasing, you’re embracing these variations as a feature, not a fault.
