Patterned Feature Wall

A simple and incredibly effective way to spice up a wall is to cover it with  pattern or with art work. Encaustic tiles are pieces of art and therefore become art on your wall or floor or wherever they are laid. A repetitive pattern is very eye catching and draws you in. It is busy yet calming. This is what I just love about these handmade patterned tiles. Caroline Choker is an incredible interior designer and just understands the balance between pattern and still. Caroline designed the Grounds at Alexandria which I featured before and another of her projects is  Parlour beauty and Laser in Sydney City Westfield. Here the reproduction tile Black and Red Flower was chosen as a feature wall and ceiling. It suits the mood of the Parlour perfectly. It is sophisticated ,warm and stylish. It draws you in to a space where you feel the treatment will be of high quality. The encaustic tiles as the feature have given this statement.along with the fittings and the lighting. A calm space in the busy city. Thanks Caroline.
